The Vegan Society created and defined the term ‘vegan’ in 1944, by taking the start and the end of the word ‘vegetarian’ to create a new word. The Vegan Trademark is used on labels worldwide as the authentic standard for products free from animal ingredients and animal testing.
There are lots of ways that animal-based derivatives can make their way into a product or its supply chain, and the rigorous standards that accompany the Vegan Trademark process means that customers will buy your product with the highest levels of confidence.
There are currently over 60,000 products registered worldwide with The Vegan Society’s Vegan Trademark, making it the international standard for authentic vegan products.
